For a great start to the walk, a Barred Owl called "Who cooks for
you?" several times. In
the woods above Porter Creek, 9 species of warbler filled the trees.
Orange-crowned Warbler was a highlight.
Skirting a crowd enjoying the balmy weather, we visited the
eastern end of the beach and found a Spotted Sandpiper on driftwood
near the mouth of the creek.
