Early Evening Field trip May 15, 2013

at Lake Erie Nature and Science Center

Leaders: Christine Cain (LENSC) and Bill Deininger (WCAS)

For a great start to the walk, a Barred Owl called "Who cooks for you?" several times.  In the woods above Porter Creek, 9 species of warbler filled the trees.  Orange-crowned Warbler was a highlight.  Skirting a crowd enjoying the balmy weather, we visited the eastern end of the beach and found a Spotted Sandpiper on driftwood near the mouth of the creek.
