Field trip and Raptor Encounter at Lake Erie Nature and Science Center

Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 8 a.m.

Leaders: Erik Bruder and Terri Martincic (WCAS)  with Christine Cain and Tim Jasinski (LENSC)

31 Birders, 40 species

The woods along Porter Creek were full of migrants on this partly-sunny 60-degree day. We were able to observe 5 woodpecker species and 13 warbler species, including ten Blackpoll Warblers and a Yellow-throated Warbler seen by two in the group.  Following our walk, we met some of Lake Erie Nature and Science Center's resident raptors face to face.
