West Creek Field Trip
Sunday, October 9, 2011
Leaders: Rich Kassouf and Gabe Leidy
20 birders, 49 species
Colorful leaves and bright sun made a great day for birding at West
Creek Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks.
Rich Kassouf and Gabe Leidy led. Gabe has birded West Creek
from an early age. West
Creek was a favorite spot of WCAS’ late friend Dave LeGallee.
Dave’s son Bob joined us for the walk.
As we gathered for the walk, twenty or more noisy American
Crows flew over pursuing an Ibis.
We clambered up and down hills and crossed the creek on
stepping stones. In
