A
huge Snapping Turtle was caught by a fisherman. The turtle was going to
be released as you can't remove turtles or frogs from the Cleveland
Metroparks. Generally you can keep a Snapping Turtle if you have a
fishing license.
The highlight of the hike had to be the
baby Screech Owl. No Ruby-crowned Kinglets and few Yellow-rumped
Warblers made us wonder if some birds crossed Lake Erie last night.
About 15 observers
and 49 species.
