Hinckley Twp Property on Rt 303

Tom, Martha, Liz and I met behind the firestation and carpooled to the Rt 303 property today, March 1, 2009 (before Buzzard Day). Here is a list of our findings

First without snow on the ground  and the bushes beaten down from the past snow, footing was relatively easy going today. The temperature was in the teens. The sky was clear and the birds were singing.

Northern Cardinal                  2
American Goldfinch              2

 Total species                         15

We also found lots of beaver activity including a couple of beaver “slides” into the Rocky River.
